Josh’s Chocolate was launched in August 2019 and continues to grow from strength to strength. From our factory close to Truro, we produce premium quality Cornish chocolate bars and giant buttons of reinvented classic flavours. Every item is handmade and hand-packaged with the greatest care to ensure each customer has the best experience of Josh’s Chocolate.
Our chocolate is sold across Cornwall and direct to our customers through our website www.joshschocolate.co.uk.
Digital was the future. Covid-19 made digital the now!
Consumers are now using search and social to bring everything to their door. Gifts for giving and treats for me. As a business, we need our website and social media channels to succeed in a noisy space and competitive category.
We’re new to chocolate making and our customers tell us we’re pretty good. We want to adapt and continue to grow sales of our bars, gigantic buttons and gifting selections at peak sales periods such as Christmas, Easter, Mother’s and Father’s Day. We also want to raise the profile of Josh’s Chocolate through our retail customers and third-party online channels.
We are now looking for the next person to join our small team to help drive all elements of our digital presence; driving social media engagement and maximising purchase conversion through our own website. We need someone as passionate about chocolate as we are and will make a real difference in developing the brand and taking the business to the next level.
You will be reporting directly to and working alongside Josh. You will have autonomy to make decisions and have a genuine input into the direction of the business. The role will allow for flexible, home-working. This is an exciting opportunity to join a young, growing business and make a genuine difference.

Must be able to demonstrate the following;
1/ Has a good level of experience in the digital landscape, an accomplished user of all relevant social media channels.
2/ Be a creative thinker and uses their initiative.
3/ Good communicator; verbally and written word.
4/ An understanding of brand building and marketing.
5/ Attention to detail and is organised, self-motivated and reliable.
The job is primarily a digital sales role and will have full accountability for commercial targets, this includes;
1/ Accountable for delivering sales and profit targets online.
Project lead for website changes both with external developers and making low level changes to website.
2/ Social media management; developing and implementing strategy for all applicable channels.
3/ Content creation; publishing periodic blog, social media posts.
4/ Actionable insights; understanding, production and communication of insightful data; i.e., Facebook and Google Analytics data.
5/ Management of third-party sales channels; Etsy, Friends of Joules and Naturally Cornish.
6/ Management of paid advertising; specifically Google and paid social adverts.
Role may also include packing and dispatching online orders, especially through peak demand periods.
40 hours / week, normal office hours. Minimal weekend working when required.
Office and home working.
Ideally for Kick-start candidate, leading to full-time role.
